About the home this two storey house design will give you:
Economical to build and easy to maintain, this bach is a perfect all year round getaway cottage, that you can drive into, unload - and unwind. Then when you have to go back to the city, just lock up and leave. What could be easier?
Downstairs contains the front door and entry vestibule, (with internal door access to the double garage) with the stair beyond - this arrangement means that the garage is enclosed and separated from the living spaces above. The laundry is tucked under the stair, so no space is wasted. Of course, the garage may also be developed as additional bedrooms or living space, so for that we have included sliding doors on the north wall, and this also means that you have great access to the garage space from both sides in the meantime.
Up the stairs and you arrive in the studio living space - light filled, with big sliding doors out on to the deck, roof windows that pull in morning and afternoon sun, soaring ceilings all make this room a fun space. The functional kitchen lines the west side of the studio, and the tiled bathroom is on the east side.
The double bedroom is behind the studio, again with sloping ceilings and wide windows extending up to the roof to maximise light and views. The wall between bedroom and studio is glazed above door height, so light and space flows over, making both rooms feel even bigger. There is an open wardrobe lining the west wall, and the bedroom has its own door to the adjoining bathroom.
