An ideal bach, or home for a restricted site this house design features compact design, circulation limited to the stair, etc. It has four double bedrooms, two bathrooms (including room for an actual bath), open plan living, dining and kitchen, and an enclosed garage with internal access and heaps of storage space. Note the folding windows between kitchen and deck, big sliding doors for summer days and the wood burner for snug winter evenings.

The deck wraps around three sides offering views all round, with choices of sun or shade , and there is sheltered parking underneath. There’s quite a lot packed in behind an unassuming exterior, and its also easy to build and live in, with sloping ceilings and exposed beams.
