An elegant, classical city or country house design, with good separation of public and private space.

Presenting a balanced, almost austere face on approach, the house opens out on the north with French doors and a pergola. Public entry is from the car court through a restrained portico and double front doors and into a double height foyer.

From the foyer, access is gained either to the family room and snug, or to the stair to the bedrooms on the upper floor, or to the living room and formal dining room. A coat cupboard is tucked under the stair, and the guest toilet and laundry also open off the foyer.

The kitchen is centrally placed, open to the family room, and with bifold windows out to the north terrace.

Upstairs has five bedrooms in total: a master bedroom suite including balcony, and four double and single bedrooms all with built in wardrobes - all these rooms have partially sloping ceilings which add spatial interest.
