About the home this one storey house design will give you:

Single-storeyed and L-shaped in plan, this house presents a modest face to the street and visitors, but opens dramatically once inside.

Entry is made under a hipped canopy set at an angle to the rest of the house. Step inside the wide front door and the spectacular space and volume of the hub of the house is revealed, because from here, you can go to almost any room in the house without passing through another space. The ceiling above soars up, following the slope of the roof, and the floor is split level - you step up to go to the living rooms.

Paired doors to the living room with a semicircular window above hint at the unique barrel vault ceiling and dormer beyond, pulling borrowed light into the entry.

A sound-rated wall separates the bedroom wing from the rest of the house, for peaceful bedrooms and study even if there’s a party on in the rest of the home!

Any cook or chef will be in their element in the lovely farmhouse kitchen, designed to cope with anything from a snack to a banquet. The family room it opens onto can be extended out to the east as far as your budget can stand. These rooms also have raised ceilings inside a perimeter border with concealed strip lighting for special ambience.
