About the home this two storey house design will give you:
A large two-storey T-shaped five-bedroom house design with generous living spaces, and potential for lovely outdoor courtyards and terraces.
Approached from the west, the house is entered either through the double garage or the front door.
The dramatic entry foyer is a two-storey space with the upstairs passage forming a gallery at mid-height, with a skylight over the head of the stair. A guest toilet is adjacent to the foyer, and doors from the foyer lead to the living room, dining room, and family room.
A veranda extends the full width of the house on the northern side, interrupted only by the projecting dining room and its bay window and seat. A pair of French doors opens out from each of the living and family rooms, while the dining room has two pairs on to the veranda.
The heart of the living room is a massive fireplace and hearth. French doors also open out to the west - this latter feature is matched at the east end of the house by doors out from the family room, which is open plan to the kitchen.
All sleeping quarters are upstairs. The main bedroom has an ensuite, twin walk-in wardrobes, and French doors out to an east-facing deck. There are also three twin bed bedrooms and one single, all with built-in wardrobes. Bedrooms two and four also have French doors out to decks. Completing this floor are a shower room and a bathroom. Note that ceilings in rooms on this floor are generally sloping, in line with the roof above.
